If you are planning to try one of the older games remember all the characters are forward compatible only so you don't want to get ones that were made after your version of the game. One bad thing about superchargers though... in all honesty it's the weakest game of the series after possibly the first title. in terms of co op especially those driving sections are just not true co op at all.

And if you are planning to Platinum the game, one of the trophies is locked behind co-op. But I don't think it's anything difficult.

Superchargers actually has a small amount of things that you have to buy compared to some of the other games. You can Platinum the game with only one land, one sea and one sky vehicle and one driver for each. The nightmare difficulty setting will kill a lot of the little monsters though, so having extra characters on hand doesn't hurt.
