Just downloaded Breath of Fire 4 and got it to run on Windows 10 immediately. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I'm hard pressed to think of any game released for Windows 95 or after that I can't get to run on Windows 10 natively. Star Trek Armada (2000), Rollercoaster Tycoon (1999), Zoo Tycoon (2001), Rayman Gold (1997), Civilization 2 (1996). I'm sure there ARE games that can't be run on Windows 10 that were released late 90's or after but the vast majority (literally 99%) work. Even obscure Japanese Visual Novels from the 90's run. |
First of all you pirated the game right now because it doesnt exist on steam or GoG or some other place to buy it it digitally on PC. So i am not sure if the game is modefied or not, but hey cool for you if it does work but doesnt change the fact that it didnt work for my PC Disc Version on Vista or 7.

Nope, Disc rot doesn't happen only due to sunlight... It can happen if there is a scratch on the disc that allows oxygen into it as well as many other reasons... Just because its rated at 100-200 years doesn't mean it actually will last you that long... SSD's for example are rated for many life times but most ssds die within 5-10 years in real world situations due to the way that people use them. |
Of course stuff like this can happen if you are careless, but you can lose also all your digital games if youre banned on PSN or Steam for being careless. So whats your point?
Blue Rays are also near unscratchable dueto to their disc protection, and scratches shouldnt cause this i dont think so
