Yes they can espacially blue rays 100-200 years, just keep discs away from sun light.

Well I can still play Age of Empires 1 on my Windows 10 PC no problem, and that game is almost 20 years old! It's only DOS games that are a problem, Anything made for Windows 95 and after generally works fine, and I don't see it becoming uncompatible anytime soon.

You list one of the most popular PC franchises which was devoloped by MS as an example for the rest of all tge games?

I have various games from windows XP era which are unplayable like Enemy Zero, Shadow of Memories, Breath of Fire 4, Oni, MGS2.
