They have a lot of possession yes, but they don't use it to score goals, they use it to prevent the other team from having the ball/scoring goals, ie. defensive play. It was especially bad those times when the manager decided not to even play a striker. Just hope their next manager plays a better style of football. |
Defensive style is what Italy plays and Spain doesn't play nothing like that.
Boring is relative when it comes to style of play. Spain's style was the most cerebral since Barcelona's and I appreciate that because it takes an insane amount of talent to dominate opponents that much.
