Heh...I loved that scene...but it was definitely comic relief. We'll see I guess. I wanna take your side...but I'm skeptical. 

Hiyori and Shinji might be a thing, yeah. I would be surpised if Hitsu/Ran happened, considering that Hitsu/Hinamori is a much more popular coupling in Japan. But it's Kubo so who knows.
