There are enough PS3s worldwide to easily justify the much lesser expense of porting a timed exclusive to the PS3 in pretty much every case. Mass Effect (edit: MS publishes this, it will never make the transition), some Gears sequel, Ninja Gaiden 2 all fall under this category -- publishers publish games to make money, not play MS or Sony fanboy. The only reasons FF XIII and MGS4 aren't jumping ship are probably (a) Japanese culture loyalty, and (b) they both probably take WAY over 9 GB of disc space, so a port would have to be multi-disc and not use the HDD. You can be sure that those games would hit the 360 eventually if its financially beneficial to do so.
