I've been a vegetarian for 7 years and it's definitely been worth it. I lost 40 pounds and I feel a lot better about myself.

But you have to be extra careful about your diet. You're losing a lot of essential protein, iron, etc. when you remove meat from your diet. So you need to replace those things wisely.

I've been eating tons of chicken breasts over the last 3 months, along with a low calorie diet, and I've lost 30 pounds. My body fat is 8%, and I have lots of lean muscle.

Losing weight has nothing to do with meat or no meat. It's about how many calories you're ingesting.

I never suggested it did. I simply explained what it did for ME, and why it was important for ME. I'm not trying to convert anyone. I'm just sharing my personal experience.
