Personally, I don't see myself buying another console for more than $400 based upon what the PS4 provided me as consumer on launch.
If I did, that console would have to provide more than just the ability to play the latest games with the prerequisite improvements in visuals. Even at $500, I would insist on some sort of new experience in that package or a package that included all the extras I would have bought eventually anyway at a value added price.
