Wii U hit the west in November 2012.  Japan a few weeks later.

 

I'll rephrase: The Vita was released in the West in early 2012 and the Wii U was released in the West in late 2012.

But yeah. You already corrected yourself to 1 year instead of 2 so we're on the same page now XD
