Trade

16% of ALL goods exported from the EU come to the UK.  The UK is THE biggest single market for goods from the EU.  Bigger than the USA.

In summary, the UK imports £219bn worth of good from the EU and exports £133bn worth of goods to the EU.  So we import £85bn more from the EU than we export.  The EU countries will want to close of an export market worth £219bn?  Thats a ridiculous notion.

From the site of your own government (hopefully it's reliable enoughfor you, no matter the quite dumb choice of its PM lately): https://www.eureferendum.gov.uk/q-and-a/trade/

Doesn’t the EU need us more than we need them?

No. A much higher proportion of UK exports go to the EU than EU exports come to the UK. The EU is the destination of 44% of the UK’s goods and services exports, but the UK is the destination of only 8% of the EU’s exports.

As a result, EU exports to the UK are worth 3% of EU GDP, while UK exports to the EU are worth 13% of UK GDP – four times more. Also, almost half of all of our foreign investment comes from the EU.

Maybe if the English voters cared to get some information before blindly vote on the base of nationalism and the size of bananas there would be less confusion.
