well Spain claims the territory and probably see an opportunity to do something. However Gibraltar has vote like 3 times in the past to overwelmingly stay with UK. Spain's economy is in the dumps. Maybe if this causes the UK to become like Spain they may go with it. But I doubt they would right away.

Well when in 1986 Spain wanted to join the EU, it was EU that forced them to open the borders with Gibraltar if they wanted to join the EU. With UK leaving Spain has the right the close the borders with Gibraltar (ofcourse the reason why 95% voted remain in Gibraltar).
