Another big mistake? They announced the S 2 months before it's release, but the only one available in August is the 2TB $399 model, which means the model that will appeal to the mainstream the most, the $299 500GB model, was announced 5-6 months before release. It's very apparent MS isn't really concerned with beating, or even matching PS4 sales, now. I think they are just getting out the S to lower production costs and the Scorpio to not only push Windows 10 gaming, but to also have their own VR solution. If both fail to really change anything, I can definitely see them dropping HW to push more Windows SW.
