Leave name brand on the table: What is up with the lack of popularity for the JUST CAUSE series vs other open world games?

It was fun for a while but it didn't go anywhere. Once I had flown, driven, sailed over most of the map it got boring. Go destroy more to unlock the next Go destroy more objective, not my thing.
