I can respect your opinion but I really didn't like FFXII at all. I guess by Turn based I mean more like the set character battles like 1-10. I feel it's more strategic to just worry about what choices you're making rather than trying to move around as well. I mean, I'll take either but something about FFXII really rubbed me the wrong way. XIII was terrible. XIV is good. And I anticipate that XV will be good as well. I don't think that was the only reason he left though. Sure, it lost Square a ton of money and I would understand why he'd leave, even after bringing the company back from the brink to begin with, but he also noted along with Uematsu that they felt FF was going in a direction that they weren't excited to be a part of. |
He wasn't fired or anything like it, he was just ashamed because of his failure, Sakaguchi don't have a very Mainstream taste so is enought for him to develop his smaller projects with his new Studio Mistwalker, he Developed 2 Exclusives for the Xbox 360 for the funding of his studio.
In the last 4 years after The Last History, Sagakuchi only made a Mobile game and nothing more.
Nomura develop the Monster design since Final Fantasy V, and Character Design since Final Fantasy 6 or 7.
