http://ultimateoutsider.com/downloads/ Fantastic tool to get rid of the GWX and to remove any wasted space on C that win10 would be consuming. I got a bonus 10gb of space on my SSD from this tool, costly space to be filled with files for an OS I don't want. |
I'm sorry but I rather not mess with it any more. I had already removed it once and all updates stopped working. When I got the updates working again gwx came back and had scheduled me for an automatic update, which I cancelled in time. Now it's simply nag ware. I'm keeping an eye on the GWX files. Yeah the $Windows.~BT folder has 7.2GB of windows 10 malware ready (16,536 files and 3,538 directories WTF), yet I don't really need it with 600GB savailable. It would be worse if it started downloading that again on my capped internet after removing it.
As long as it pops up every day, it will remind me not to get windows 10...
