How does everyone feel about Final Fantasy XV's "Wait mode"

Looks more like a help mode than a layer of strategic depth.

Also, damn, all that banter is going to get annoying after hearing it hundreds of times. I wonder if you can turn it off?

Combat looks tedious and shallow with a lot of running around for nothing. I lose interest with every video I watch.
