You don't need to launch the game exactly the same year you announce it, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, still need to make people interested in their consoles so they need to tell what is their future plans otherwise we would have more threads Like Microsoft's "14 Games in development" thread.
It is better for a game when the game isn't coming too soon or too later, people will know in what they will spend their money.
People seems to be taking it too serious using a game like Final Fantasy XV as a example, The developers had to change the entire game so this game is a exception and not a rule.
