Quantum Break also launched several years after release, people think that only because Phill Spencer said "Our games have release dates" to defend from the question he was asked for, this means that they will never announce any game that will launch 1-2 years after announcement. 

This is true.  Microsoft has been as guilty of this as anyone else in the industry.  Spencer can't simply pretend otherwise now.
