The Play Anywhere program is great and so is the ability to by the game you want on PC. The problem that the thread tries to tackle is whether or not consumers will get the Slim model knowing that the hardware will be outdated in a year. And of course people are right for thinking this. I think they should have waited. The Slim looks like a really nice console, but if I have a PC (and I do) and I know that it is more powerful than an Xbox (and I do) and I know that the games are coming to PC (and I do)... what motive do I have for buying an S model. That $300-$400 can go towards the Scorpio if I am so inclined not to upgrad my PC. Its really strange messageing from Microsoft. Here we have a new product. In a year and a half will will have one 4.5X more powerful. Buy both.... yeah no.

I guess it will come down to how much of a price difference the will be between the XBOneS and Scorpio.
Everything im reading points to both the XB1Scorpio (they should of went with Xbox10) and the PS4Neo being Premium models with a Premium price for people who owns 4k tvs and VR.
I think people are going to be kinda shocked when the price of the PS4K and Scorpio are announced but i could be wrong here.

I think this is key. A $700 scorpio makes the S model a lot more attractive lol.
