Did it ever occur to you that Sony/Whoever can at any time simply throw standalone 4k BR players onto the market that will be cheaper than an X1 Slim (simply because they don't carry the whole "games hardware baggage")? I don't think the idea that "4k tv owners must also be gamers hence they buy a X1S" is the reality.
