I would not try to beat all the Zelda games at once. You will get Zelda Fatigue by the time you get to the later ones. If you are truly serious about beating them all I would start with the original and work your way up. Do not worry about guides. I do not think I beat a Zelda game without one.
Oh and Zelda 2 is awesome! Do not let others discourage you! But..... it is also hard so it is not for the weak minded.
