1Stopforgamers said that the Neo is just a variation of the PS4 Slim and that Sony will eventually release a PS5, Andrew said that the releasing of the Neo does not mean the end of Console generation or that they will never release the PS5.
If the Neo releases this year, I see no problem of the PS5 releasing in 2018, because Neo is just a more expensive PS4 that will play PS4 games and people who purchase it now know it.
If Microsoft release the Xbox Scorpio they will have no choise other than skipping the Xbox One (original) in order to have the Third Party support.
This "Get rid of generations" is a Silly thing because the Company who try to make it first will be left behind because the other 2 will not let this happen, Microsoft's commitment to support every system isn't enought to ensure 3 Party support for the Xbox One (This thing "No one is left Behind") if Nintendo and Sony still releasing their next gen consoles, the Xbox One's install base would be meaningless and the thing of "Generation without barrier" only work if you have the weaker version in mind, you can Upscale put a lot of extra on the Scorpio version but you cannot downscale a game for the Xbox One if you have the Scorpio in mind, it would end like Call of Duty Black Ops 3 or Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain's last generation versions.
Why developers would support the Xbox One,which would have less sales because would not have Generations, Developers would not support a Xbox One with low sales (Because the Scorpio is aimed to the Hardcore market so it will be very expensive), instead of Sony or Nintendo's systems.
In the end this "End of generation" is just a Console fully backwards with another name but from a different generation, So this is what people are wanting ? just a 100% backwards console ?.
