Are eithers actual specs even confirmed beyond MS saying its target is 6 tflops and Sony saying yes a new console is in the works?

They could be launching essentially the same machine for all we know.

Some documentation, some educated speculation.

Guys, the GPU Scorpio is bound to have is $199 at retail now!! In 18 months it's going to be dirst cheap for MS buying in bulk. Mark my words, they saw with Xbone that $499 is too much and they'll easily hit $399.
8 Core Zen processor, probably the full version of Polaris 10 (with 40 CUs and 2560 SPs), aroung 12 GB of RAM - all forming a perfect APU and boom. You have a monster for $399. Maximum $449.

Topping 6tflops in a console is expected to require a Vega gpu (why it's still so far out), not Polaris and not the 480, whatever it's capable of with a good desktop setup. Pairing that with a Zen cpu would be seriously costly and they would have bragged about it too if they were using it. Really doubt we'll see it debut at $450 or lower unless they want to eat a big loss.

It's weird to me Sony didn't announce the NEO at E3 if it's set to release this year like people think. It's almost like they waited to see what MS had.

With the S still bigger than the ps4 and saying it will/won't boost gams (they need a clear message, it reminds me of X1 launch) they could ride out the ps4 till next year and release something similar to Scorpio pulling a scenario like last times (our system will play your used games, but this time our system does 6 tflops too!).

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.
