@Machina

Well I checked my power supply brick and it has a two pins sticking out in the hole, and the cable has two holes. This then goes to a normal UK 3-pin plug for the electric socket. Pretty standard and normal AC adaptor.

Below is a picture of the adaptor, you can see there are 2 pins in the bricks hole. The cable to the left is the USA 2-pin plug for the electric socket, which you shouldnt have got. You should have got the standard UK 3-pin plug. However, both have 2 holes at the end, so Im wondering how you got 3 holes.

I have looked further and there seems to be 3 holes in this one, is this what you got? I would think this would still fit in the brick and the brick only ever has 2 pins in the hole it seems.

 If you really did get a USA cable, then you just need to get a convertor like this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/CANADA-3-Pin-Visitor-Adaptor-Converter/dp/B000NPACOG/ref=pd_sbs_ce?ie=UTF8&qid=1211396799&sr=8-1

Or you can do what you are doing, which is getting them to replace it.

 Hope this helps.
