Zelda benefited from a day long Treehouse as well as being, you know, Zelda. Plenty of people who don't even play games anymore or who have never heard of God of War were talking about it on Facebook. It's an iconic franchise that nearly everyone is aware of, so while it may not translate to sales, everyone and their mother was watching the footage on Facebook and elsewhere.

There is only so much you can talk about from 1 or 2 trailers. God of war didn't benefit from hours of gameplay.

Whether the franchise is iconic or not, if the platform holder spends an entire day on 1 game, it will be talked about more than the other games that only had 1 or 2 trailer
