Scorpio is Xbox One and a half. It's not as big of a leap as a completely new next gen console. It doesn't offer any new software, etc.

It's PR though. They all lie. It's their job. Nintendo for example claimed that Majora's Mask 3D wasn't in development, months before it was released. ND said they had no plans to release The Last of Us on PS4, etc.

That's what you make out of it. You say that Scorpio is Xbox One and a half. Just one sentence later he said that if he moves forward he wants to move forward in big numbers. And that is Scorpio for him and many others if you look at the specs. 

So no, he never lied. He moved forward in big numbers (almost 5x the teraflops is big for many) and he didn't go the "Xbox One and a half" route which was in his opinion probably something like a console 2x as strong as XBO. 

Just because you guys want to interpret his words as you like doesn't make him a liar in this regards. 

Just talking about the teraflops and not the other specs, the jump is almost as big as from 360 to XBO. Yes, I guess it's not hard to see that this means to him "a big jump"
