Would have been a good poll question so I don't have to echo what most are saying, but no, Halo will no longer be a console exclusive. Microsoft seems to want to market their gaming division as a service, and what game would market it better than Halo?
On a related note (but somewhat off topic), I think these companies are going for a service model, because making a new console is expensive, but staying with console generations limits the graphic capabilities severely compared to PC. Especially considering each generational leap, however massive when crunching numbers, feels smaller than the last, because things like performance and AI are where these consoles are improving most.
Copying Apple's model and incrementally upgrading consoles every few years might prove more lucrative and less costly in the meantime instead of having one huge launch every 5 to 7 years. But I don't see the move being as successful as what's going on with smartphones, because phones are a personal item while consoles potentially dominate a room or a household as the entertainment centerpiece. When the tech and price align, Sony and Microsoft will ditch consoles and exclusively deliver content ala Netflix.
