In terms of publisher interest they are motivated to ensure a game has longevity in multiplayer, and the best way to ensure the multiplayer doesn't die is to have all players in one MP environment. With FPS in particular it's problematic with having controllers vs KB+M, but if the matchmaking can know what form of UI is being used then it can try to balance the number of players per match using each of the different UIs to ensure balance. |
yes that would be nice. the KB M people will kill the controller people so it is needed.
