If the "board" unit and the chip are already made, no they cant make changes to it.
But they can overclock it, and put a bigger heat sink on it.
Maybe squeeze out abit more performance so its closer to the scorpio.
That wouldnt require that much work.
I think Sony will just accept that its slightly weaker than the scorpio, and sell it cheaper than the scorpio.
Sony will get you to buy one, by haveing a awesome games library for the PS4.
