They're good for the consumer and good for Microsof (Profit).  But they're terrible for the X1 as it has no exclusive games and a even hardcore gaming enthusiast that likes to buy every system has no incentive to buy it.  The Xbox is exclusively for Xbox Enthusiasts and console fanboys as far as adults go now.  I know people on here are going to say not everyone likes PC, but the fact of the matter is the X1 has no exclusives and the PC does, PC is more customizable, free online, mods, and all of the X1's games.  Guess which one I'm picking?

Good for you supporting PC and windows 10 platform. This will allow MS to invest into window gaming which will result in xbox growing due to the profits they are getting from you. I thank you.

I know man.  I like Windows over mac.  I see no problem in supporting Microsoft.  That doesn't mean Xbox will profit in the long run if it slashes the install base and more people buy other software on PC instead of Xbox.  Xbox Profits?  The Xbox brand has been in the red since its introduction.  Sony barely made a profit off the PS3, there's no money in console hardware.
