How is the Xbox One benefitting from Play Anywhere?

Why should it convince people to buy an X1? Is it likely that you will buy some of MS´s exclusive games now that they are also coming to W10? In that case their plan has worked, since software is where they make the revenue.

So the problem was actually coming from the Xbox camp where they felt that the games should stay on Xbox.   What they don't understand is that by Microsoft expanding the base through PC, their games can be more profitable and they can get even more games on their Xbox.  It goes both ways.  you don't have to build a rig  and you don't have to buy and Xbox in order to play their games.
