I don't get MS's plan, announcing this early, Scrap NEO? PS5 in 2018?

I would say its better they ignore the Scorpio for now and just release PS5 in 2018 or even better 2019.With how well they are selling the PS4s, I dont think they need to worry about that for a while.

It would be intesting if MS had a shorter, smaller upgrade cycle and Sony stuck to a longer bigger one. I think they'd win out in the long run because it's not like a pc you have to replace the whole thing every time you upgrade.
