Yeah I trust Sony Santa Monica to make the right decision for the series, they've never let me down, even Ascension being the weakest entry, it was still a great game. Kind of which they handled the story better though, I found the multiplayer fun, but I'd rather have an amazing story then a fun multiplayer for such a story-centric game.

2 was definitely the best of original mainline games on the PS1, 3 was also really good because of Nemesis but 2 was still better.
But yeah, 4 is the best overall, I hope 7 can be in line with 4, I want a dark atmosphere, surronded by mistery, and one thing that was good on 6 was the melee, it was fun to beat up the enemies, though it was OP, I would actually rely more on it than gunfire, lol, but I want a similar system on 7 as well.

One thing 6 did well was game play, that much is true, but at the same time making the character weaker and less sustainable to hits give more suspense and pressure to a horror game. The game focused too much more on action than the actual horror elements. I do want them to have a mix of both the old and new. Make the game play fluid like 6, but also add what made RE great in the first place, suspense and tension. Re3 was sweet too yeah, Nemesis got me good a few times xD
