The Neo is targeted at "hardcore gamers" or in other words people willing to spend more money on gaming then most, the original ps4 will still be sold because it will be substantially cheaper and for casual gamers and others who don't care about the graphics they would choose this option. One thing that Andrew houses comments do suggest is that perhaps the difference in price is bigger snd the price of the neo is higher then most thought.
When he says sit alongside I believe he is referring to them as products in sony's lineup.
