They dont have every right to do so, the porn is offered for free. Its fair use. And lets be honest kapi even if they wouldnt have used the ingame assets and remodeled the characters Blizzard would still go after the work and claim its their Intelectual Property blabla. Why do people even side with this company, they are opneing the box of pandorra here?

It's not really fair use though. Porn is rarely given away free, most of the time people were paid commissions to make it or are after ad revenue. Besides, if the copyright holder can argue that it is damaging their own products (and if an Overwatch google search produces mostly porn then they've got a pretty good argument there since it will certainly put any parents off buying the game for their kids) then it's also not covered by fair use.

google only shows your self in the mirror if you search on it.

Second its fair use, they arent are selling this porn, and i cant think of any videogame publisher or anything else getting royalties from the porn industry like you claim, or did Sarah Palin get some money too?

And yes there is various porn which is sold but contains characters from videogames, yet only Blizzard seems to care here even for the free fan made stuff.

I knew about the legacy servers being shut down for a while now, but i dont really cares as its WoW. But i do care about porn and freedom of art obviously so i dont get your accusations

You only care when it suits the moment, let's be real here it suits anyone when negative news is spun and rolled with and it's usually coming from people who have fired shots at some other company or system, like most of the bad MS news comes from people not all that interested with MS or Nintendo when they get bad news.

There are also IP laws and Blizzard does have to protect them, the direct 3D model rips represent the characters from the game, stylized artwork does not, which is exactly why Blizz are only going for the 3D made porn vids and not the fan created R34 artwork.

If someone would make a mod using overwatch characters to make an entireley different game while offering it for free. Would that be okay to take it down too? Because this is in the direction Blizzard is going which is bad, i dont get why people here defend a giant company over its dedicated fans.

And stop with this accusations and going on a personal level all the time instead debating the subject, Right at the first post you did. I constantley made threads about censorship and stuff like that for everything, but because its Blizzard now you care all of the sudden?
