Apologize for what? You thought it was just a local paper, but that was wrong. If people buy it internationally, can it really be biased, or as you thought, pro-American? That's like me saying BBC News, world renowned news source and channel, is biased because it is situated in Britain.
The fact that a web site itself claims it can not be held as reliable and accurate, and that chooses people through consensus rather than credentials, should immediately have raised a flag.
Do you go to college or a university? When you have to do research, do professors say it's "fine" to look up things from Wikipedia, or use an electronic text and mention it in your bibliography or footnotes?
