Set pieces and pretty graphics do nothing for me. Though I found the characters charismatic and the story was kinda interesting (especially in the second game). Regarding difficulty I did not find the games very difficult. |
I have to concur.
In the first game I hated the amount of quick time events.
I got sick of the Ladders breaking in Uncharted 3, it was like almost every single damn one.
And I still hate the linearity of the entire franchise, it's a game that would probably benefit transitioning to an open world, the 1-note combat can get tedious.
Characters were amazing though, the voice work, the motion capture, the attention to detail on the models were always top notch, Uncharted series leads the gaming world in this area in my honest opinion even when compared against technically superior PC titles.
The story in the first game set-up a great premise it felt like Tomb Raider and Indianna Jones had a baby and that turned out to be Uncharted... And for some that's an exciting premise, but I am more into the whole Sci-Fi thing than Zombies created by an artifact in a temple somewhere, but that's personal/opinion and taste.
