It seems every game that get's announced, they have absolutely no intention of sticking to the initial release date and it almost always comes out 1-2 years after they said it would. Don't get me wrong, when the games come out they are fairly good (Driveclub for example), but other companies are releasing games that are just as good if not better and sticking to their initial launch dates. It's hard to get excited for any lineup when every year the content just keeps getting pushed back and we're told it's so they can 'improve the game'. No, it's because poor management who a. have no intention of sticking to the launch date or b. have no understanding of how long it takes to create a video game. I will look forward to 2017 like I have to every other year - hope for the best, expect the worst (more stuff will get delayed). Also, Uncharted 4 is a great game but I'm not sure what else contributes to 'the best lineup ever'? |
Yeah? Which ones?

Well just a 2 minute check for some popular games and googling to see if they were delayed, the following:
3rd Party: Doom, Just Cause 3, Far Cry 4, Far Cry Primal, Fallout 4, Gran Theft Auto 5. - Some big games that were successfull with no delays (as far as I can see).
And when you compare to MS, most of their games ended up launching when intended:
X1: Titanfall, Rise Son of Rome, Ori and the Blind Forest, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Motorsport 6, Forza Horizon 2, Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider.
When I compare this to PS4 exclusives, (timed or otherwise) it just seems to be endless delays. Don't get me wrong, I think Uncharted 4 and Driveclub are great games, but the amount of delays they had was laughable.
