It was something you could do in LBP too. Perhaps it's more to do with the limit of objects and details you can put in one small area. In LPB it manifested as hundreds of tiny exclamation marks. Perhaps here it just lowers the framerate. MM did say that the games can be either 30fps or 60fps depending on how demanding your level was.
