It is not the worst it is just one of the least loved by fans atleast from after the nintendo FF games. I didn't liked the game very much especially after FFX that I consider a great game I prefer the South Asian inspired FFX above the Vagrant's story world in FFXII, the sphere grid was a new way of leveling up your characters in FFX while FFXII went back to the level to 100 way with licenses.
