All they have to do is make Mario, Mario Kart, Zelada, Smash bros, yoshi and metroid. If done right eveey iteration if those games can sell over 10M each. 

I thought people complain that all Nintendo does is Mario and Zelda. As a first party, you at least have the possibility of new IPs and revival of old ones. Remember, the 3DS and Wii U saw the revival of Kid Icarus, a sequel to Luigi's Mansion, a new IP in Splatoon, Nintendo Land, Wonderful 101, etc., and the emergence of Fire Emblem. 

plus, as much as I'm sure it pains fans of the Metroid series, the franchise has not been known as a big-time seller as a few of its titles have sold at least 3 million. I'm not sure how a game (even if it goes back to the traditional 3D or 2D Metroid) could sell 10 million even as a multiplat.
