Three Things That Drive You Nuts About Let's Players

1. People who bitch and moan when it's clearly their fault that they're failing
2. Those who do nothing but scream excessively in childish voices
3. Those who are just trying waaay too hard to get a laugh

I think the key with Let's Players is you have to have some affinity for the person outside of their Let's Plays. For instance, one of my guilty pleasures dating back to 2007 has been the Angry Video Game Nerd... I've never been quite sure why I like the series as his videos are so absurdly immature and toilet-humor focused (minus the toilet itself), but I just like them lol

Anyway, because of that I enjoy watching James Rolfe try out games simply because I'm already fond of him, and his out-of-character personality is actually quite soft-spoken and reserved. Funny guy.

Otherwise, for the more complex and difficult PC games I have two recommendations for those of you who like Grand Strategy/4x/city builder games:

Really, outside of watching James & Mike, the only time I watch Let's Plays is to actually see if I'd enjoy the more complex or involved games that are hard to judge from mere description.
