Agreed.
Best game based movie (which doesn't really mean anything, but still, we are improving). I really enjoyed it.

I can actually see why some critics had their issues with it. Duncan Jones decided to make a movie for the game fans instead of dumbing it down to the mass audience.
The results is a ton of unexplained events and loose ends, besides fan service scenes that most likely seem dull if you don't know the source material. For example, all Go'el scenes. Even some warcraft players don't know him by that name.
Some points were also changed from the source material, but nothing that big.
