I think I saw this on neogaf too.
Appearntly hes parents are really well off... like... rich rich.
I doubt the 50k will hurt them in anyway.
The "kid" was jokeing about it, because he found it funny.
Supposedly he tosses around 2-4k like its nothing.

Very wealthy family.
Dad probably gives him 50k without batting a eye if he just asks for it.
