I mean it's possible this is happening, but with Xseed, I feel like this year has been a bit atypical for them. They're now publishing indies and an admittedly nice looking Touhou game? I think what happened is now that they're finally able to dive into the Trails series, which they've noted many times for how engrossing it is, it's set back some of their other plans. I have full confidence they were waiting to announce some of the other Vita exclusive RPG titles for fear of announcing them too early. Now that they've nearly completed Trails 2 and with e3 around the corner, we'll get some of the announcements we probably would have gotten earlier. ...I hope. |
I truly hope I'm wrong about this. I mean, I fully admit I'm overly negative with this kinda thing and have thought in the past that support would be pulled when it continued. It just seems the longer the console keep limping along, the less likely things will happen for it.
It's a shame because I feel like games such as Valkyrie Drive & Tokyo Xanadu have decent sales potential even as Vita exclusives, but XSEED might be basing their decisions on the performance of Corpse Party & EDF (both of which are niche franchises and one is a port of a game released alongside a much bigger game from the same franchise for PS4).
Anyway, we'll find out shortly I'm sure. I still believe Tokyo Xanadu will make it across in one form or another.
