Freedom Fighters was SOOO much fun.  IIRC, that was the one with the multiplayer where you captured bases that spawned NPC garisons.  Made local competitive multiplayer so much fun.  Great game.  Sad to hear it flopped but then again, I shouldn't be surprised given that the studio behind it was closed up by EA not too many years later.
