Valve announced today that its Steam Controller has sold half-a-million units since it launched late last year. Since releasing in November, the company has issued regular updates to improve the device, most of which involve more customisation, as well as out-of-the-box support for major titles.

Devolver Digital has revealed that it will demo Absolver, STRAFE, Shadow Warrior 2 and a new title from Croteam at this year’s E3. Now what this new Croteam title could actually be? Well, the official Serious Sam FB page has – possibly – spilled the beans, hinting at an official reveal of Serious Sam 4.

A lot has been said about Denuvo. A number of gamers claimed that their SSDs broke down due to this anti-tamper tech, and that some games suffered from performance issues due to it. However – and since we’ve tested a lot of games that are powered by Denuvo – we can safely say that those rumours were not legit at all. Not only that, but it appears that Denuvo is doing a great job at preventing pirates and scene groups from pirating/cracking PC games.

 

VIVENDI EDGES CLOSER TO UBISOFT WITH HOSTILE GAMELOFT TAKEOVER

Multimedia conglomerate Vivendi has succeeded in its hostile takeover of mobile game publisher Gameloft. The acquisition, confirmed by Bloomberg, is noteworthy because, as the Globe and Mail reported in February, it's the first step in a more ambitious gambit involving Ubisoft: Both companies are owned by the Guillemot family, which recently sought (and apparently failed to gain) the support of Canadian investors as part of its effort to fend off Vivendi's advances.
