Alright, enough is enough. This thread is pointless as web polls are not scientific. I just bought an XBOX 360 and Yep, I know they are prone to a failure rate that appears to be higher than normal. (notice I said appears as everything is anecdotal in lack of scientific polling). The bottom line is I wanted to play games on the 360. It comes with a 1 year warranty. If you are concerned, buy the 2 year extension for $60 bucks. Stop worrying, take care of the unit by keeping it in a well ventilated space and play some games. The console is exceptional. Period.
