Listen. Don't listen to those nutwings. i just posted this because it was an interesting story. Perhaps what's disappointing is that our lack of responsibility has lead to an animal being dead. Simple. Of course, it'd be great if people talked about thousands of people dying every die in worse condition( cough cough gaza, china, somalia, sudan, etc cough). Modern zoos are heaven compared to many places on earth. But no, I guess people just want to follow the trends. Reminds me of when I was in protests during the 54 day war in Gaza. I saw thousands of people, but know what they did? Stuck to their phones, snapchatted, tweeted, etc etc to make them look like heroes. Once the trend dies, I was happy to see 100-200 people at any protests for human rights(whether if it's the middle east or anywhere else in the world).
Oh well. I probably am more outraged over the lack of responsibility parents nowadays have for their children. Look at how us millenials turned out...we're the opposite of ok. We're the opposite of what's needed to help the earth. We're lazy, sensitive, pathetic, idiotic, hypocritical, biased, and judgemental. We claim we're against all that but do the same towards others we disagree with. Simply put, humans are doomed if millenials are the last hope for humankind.
funny how this is stirring outrage everywhere though. I remember when a kid I knew was kidnapped and burned alive two summers ago. never saw anyone talk about it in social media- never saw anyone express how moral and perfect they are. never saw anyone being fucking activists.
Where was the outrage for him? At least for the gorilla, we didn't know what would happen.
Where the fuck was the outrage for the autistic 6 year old shot by police? Why weren't people whining about the rights for all organisms?
Where's the outrage over companies treating their animals horribly? The zoo gave the gorilla everything it needed. I don't see people saying, "these chickens need to be freed from factories!" The people saying this is a fight for equal rights or shit are hypocritical. If they actually cared, we would have focused on issues far more important than one gorilla. While unfortunate, do you think the zoo would truly think, "hey, let's kill a rare gorilla for fun"?
I suppose it's great to know a lion and gorilla can cause an outrage from people, but modern day genocide and violent attacks on innocent humans(and animals) are ignored by the masses. Hilarious. A joke. Just shows how ignorant we truly are. Government officials probably laugh their asses off everyday seeing the kind of shit we gobble up.
