No one is talking about handhelds, they seem to still be doing ok on that front, but who knows for how long.

You can't just ignore their handhelds when talking about going 3rd party. If Nintendo were to stop making home consoles than it would make more sense for them to divert all resources to making sure their handhelds are a success.

You cant expect Nintendo to release games on PS4/Neo, XB1/Scorpio, PC & Mobile while also releasing a steady stream of games for their next-generation handheld, its just not feasible. 

they can keep all resources making what they make well, games. They make terrible consoles that get no support and only the always shrinking Nintendo fanbase cares about. If you like their games you'd be as much as likely to buy them on pc or on a different console that actually can perform well.

they obviously will do whatever they want, i have no dog in this fight and am totally dispassioned about it. i'm just seeing where they could both be much more successful and also keep their fans happy.

 

if they decided to stop making console games and focus only on handhelds, good luck for them... we will wait and see what they release
